I completed my internship at onepoint Canada, where I discovered Montréal’s warm hospitality and gained valuable experience, both technically and personally.
I contributed to the development of Connect Building, a Smart Building Management System featuring a digital twin that centralizes building data and ensures interoperability between IoT systems. The data is retrieved through API connectors and made accessible to clients via API gateways.
The project was built using Java Quarkus, React (PWA), Redux Toolkit, and Docker Compose.
My main focus was on a progressive web application (PWA) developed for the Banque Nationale du Canada. Deployed on interactive kiosks installed on each of the tower's 40 floors, the app enables employees to check floor occupancy, navigate through rooms, and make reservations.
This internship allowed me to grow in a collaborative, supportive, and inspiring environment, and it reinforced my motivation to continue working in this field.
